Two days of 'Japanese For Fun' workshops and 2 days of 'Around The World'...
Monday 6 October
Japanese Art & Craft: 9:00-12:00
Create kawaii paper dolls. These make brilliant gifts, bookmarks and decorations. Also, have a go at drawing 'anime', Japanese animation, characters, or, continue paper-folding with some origami.
Cost including materials and morning tea: $15
Japanese Art: 1:00-3:30
Try out traditional Japanese sumi-e ink painting.
Have a go at shodo - the art of Japanese writing with ink. Choose your best piece of art to frame. There is also the option of independent origami making - plenty of paper and origami books to keep you busy.
Cost including materials and afternoon snack: $12

Embrace spring, create an origami garden setting to take home for play and display. Frogs, butterflies, flowers, mushroom and ducks, are a few of the garden goodies you could create for your setting. Your origami garden could be a cool starting point for a stop motion project. Although our focus will be on creating a garden, all are free to work on alternative origami projects.
Cost including materials and morning tea: $15
Sushi Workshop: 1:00-3:30
Develop your sushi rolling skills. Choose from a variety of fillings and take some sushi home to share. Also, make inari and practise your chopsticks skills. Bring a container so that you can take some sushi and inari home.
